Art on the Street

I found this site on a chilly morning on Thursday March 19, 2009. A guy by the name of Andre, a big person might I add, paints the streets of Providence Rhode Island. Most people call it graffiti and some professional artist call it street art. Andre does many types of art from 3-d effect art to a simple 2-d. He does not stop doing street art on the walls of Providence, his other canvas includes various types of signs like stop signs or bathroom stall signs. Any type of sign that is posted up, it can be done in an artistic way by Andre. Museums are very attracted to street art and are starting to pick it up. His types of style are Art Nouveau, Constructivisim and punk art. What I am learning about this is the various types of art that can be done. Even graffiti is considered art, both illegally and legally. These various art styles, art nouveau and constructivism offer smooth lines that does not dissapoint the eye and makes it good too look at.
