Body of Art (Media Maker Series)
I went to this art event on Tuesday March 16, 2009 at Arts 240. It started at 6. Body of Art is about a 25 year old army veteran that has been disabled when he was stationed in Iraq. The producers of the movie were Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro. Tomas was only there for five days when he was shot below the collar bone and hit his spine leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. He talks about how he lives his life and the struggles of living it. He goes to anti war events to speak out and voice his opinions about the war. The war has made a huge impact to him he still supports his brother in going but at the same time wants to stop the war and opposes President Bush in his decision making. This documentary film gave people the chance to see what the injured veterans had to say about the war and they needed to voice out there problems on it.
